2026 Harvest Trial: Competitor & Visitor Information
Tri State WDC looks forward to welcoming you to our 2nd Annual Harvest Trial on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Trial site and schedule
Stadium field: Sterling Town Hall, 1183 Plainfield Pike, Sterling, CT 06377. Parking signs will be posted on site.
Tracking will take place at a separate location. The tracking address, check-in times, and final running order will be sent to competitors closer to the trial. Please follow those instructions rather than arriving at the tracking field early.
Practice day
Our pretrial practice day is Sunday, October 11, at 10:00 AM. We’ll share any additional details with competitors before then.
What to bring
Please bring your government ID, proof of AWMA membership, scorebook, and any applicable dog registration or title documentation. We also recommend a chair, shade, water, and gear suited to the weather.
Dogs must remain on leash unless entering the field. Please clean up after your dog and follow the posted parking and staging directions.

There are also several Airbnb and Vrbo rentals in the Sterling, Brooklyn, Plainfield, and surrounding areas. These can be a good option for competitors traveling with dogs or anyone looking for a little more space.
When searching, be sure to check the individual property’s pet policy, number-of-dogs limit, additional pet fees, and any breed or size restrictions before booking.

We’re planning a judges’ dinner for Friday, October 16. The restaurant, time, and RSVP details will be sent once arrangements are confirmed.

Weather and entry policies
The trial will proceed rain or shine unless conditions affect safety.
Entry fees are nonrefundable. If a handler or dog cannot participate because of injury or illness, the club may issue a refund minus a $15 administrative fee with a dated doctor’s or veterinarian’s note confirming inability to compete on October 17, 2026. No diagnosis is required.

No-shows, schedule conflicts, training issues, and disqualifications do not qualify for refunds. Transfers to another eligible team may be requested up to 48 hours before the trial and require club approval.
